The Rainbow Project is a charitable body in Hong Kong which provides special education services for children with autism from age 3 upwards. Currently we have two classes integrated into international schools. We also provide advice, occupational and speech therapy services to children in our Rainbow Project Learning Centre. It is open to children that are not in our existing full-time programmes and with a variety of special educational needs.
In preparation for the coming year, Rainbow is looking for applicants for the following 3 positions:
SPEECH THERAPIST (FULL / PART TIME)
Speech Therapist (Full time/Part time): Must possess a recognised Speech and Language Therapy qualification, experience in implementing AAC, knowledge of up-to-date interventions used with the A.S.D. population and a strong background in oral motor assessment and treatment.
Applicants with a minimum of 2 years paediatric experience are prefered but fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Applicants must be able to work independently as well as in partnership with other professionals and have some experience working with children with autism. Candidates fluent in both spoken and written English as well as Chinese are preferred. Successful Candidates must be prepared to take up responsibilities and deployment as and when assigned by Rainbow to allow the project to realise its vision.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (PART TIME)
Applicant Will have a recognised Occupational Therapy qualification and hold current HK registration. Experience in implementing Sensory Integration programmes is essential along with knowledge of up-to-date interventions used with the A.S.D. population (i.e. therapeutic listening, oral motor therapy, vestibular activation, brushing programmes, etc.)
Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years paediatric experience, including some experience working with children with autism, must be able to work independently as well as in partnership with other professionals. Candidates should be fluent in both spoken and written English and Chinese and be prepared to be deployed as needed to allow the project to realise its vision.

TEACHING ASSISTANTS (SPECIAL EDUCATION)
The Rainbow Project is a charitable organization providing education for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The group is looking to fill the following positions starting from the coming academic year 2010:
Successful candidates will provide active classroom support to the children ages mainly 3 -11, working under the direction of the Special Education Teacher and Programme Coordinator. Candidates must have a degree in education or related fields and be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in working with children with special needs. Experience in working with young children with special needs would be an advantage.
